This 27-year-old woman (5’5”, 125 lbs.) underwent breast augmentation with autologous fat grafts. Autologous fat breast enlargement was achieved after a four week period of pre-expansion using the BRAVA system (cones placed outside the breast which are applied to vacuum suction to recruit a vascular and soft tissue scaffold to more reliably achieve permanent fat graft “take”). Fat grafts were “harvested” using liposuction techniques from the thighs, flanks and abdomen. After processing of the fat grafts, 243 cc of prepared fat grafts were transferred to the right breast, and 225 cc grafted to the left breast. Breast enlargement with fat injection was achieved without scars through needle sites made with an angiocath (IV needle). The fat graft breast augmentation effectively achieved breast enlargement increasing her breast size from a 34B to a 34C. The breast augmentation results demonstrated here were achieved in one stage of autologous fat transfer, with follow-up shown at 33 months following fat grafting.
