Dr. Adam Kolker and Lauren Kolker, co-founders of AKMD Skincare, first researched and developed the product line in response to the needs of Dr. Kolker's patients. As an aesthetic plastic surgeon, Dr. Kolker found with increasing frequency that his patients were interested in preventive and protective care for their skin. Disillusioned by other existing products, Dr. Kolker began to work with a team of biochemists, formulating a line of both consumer skincare and professional-strength medical products that he felt would provide the most significant and dramatic results.
