Voluma in New York City

Voluma provides a method of restoring additional volume to your cheeks and reversing the drawn appearance associated with aging. The results are a more youthful appearance with the correct balance of fullness or volume in the cheeks. Aging adults will begin to notice wrinkles and fine lines, but there are other signs of aging that concern some adults. Cheeks may begin to flatten and skin droops or sags as aging progresses. This natural depletion of cheek volume is known as midface volume loss.

Voluma works to restore the dermal layer, which encourages a youthful appearance and adds volume to and fullness of your facial features. Our NYC Voluma treatment decreases the appearance of drooping or sagging in the face and adds volume underneath the surface of the skin. This encourages the skin to lift and shape the area of the cheeks. The end result – a radiant and vibrant complexion.

Voluma Decreases Wrinkles and Folds

At the onset of aging, lines and wrinkles may begin to surface, loss of volume can be seen in the middle of the face, and folds proceed from the corners of the lips and nose. These are usually the first thing others notice during an encounter. Facial folds become deeper and more noticeable when talking, laughing, and smiling. Voluma works to improve these folds, wrinkles, and fine lines by filling in imperfections of the skin that lead to these unsightly changes. This helps the skin to appear younger, smoother, and possess a natural look. It corrects those lines that appear around the chin and lip area, as well as those highly-noticeable impressions surrounding the eyes.

How Long Will a Voluma Treatment Last?

Traditional dermal filler treatments should last approximately 10 to 12 months. Voluma treatments last 18 to 24 months. The effect compares to other fillers, but the Voluma solution uses cross-linked hyaluronic acid molecules. This permits them to remain at the injection site longer and extends the timeframe for treatment effectiveness. Patients should note the skin already contains hyaluronic acid. Therefore, Voluma is a safe option for cosmetic procedures.

Great news! Your NYC Voluma treatment will display results immediately. There is an instant effect that becomes visible the moment injections are complete. It will take approximately 2 weeks for the solution to resolve in the skin when you will see the full results of your Voluma treatment.

Is Voluma Safe?

Voluma is an FDA approved filler safe for use in cosmetic procedures. It is a non-surgical treatment that can be accompanied by Lidocaine, a mild anesthetic to ensure that the patient is comfortable during the short procedure.

Patients who elect to receive Lidocaine will experience between 15 and 20 minutes for the numbing to set in and another 15 minutes to complete injections. Patients who are sensitive to Lidocaine can receive Voluma injections without the anesthetic.
