This 44-year-old woman (5'5", 148 lbs., 36DD) was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of the left breast. She underwent left total mastectomy with two-stage left breast reconstruction with tissue expander and acellular dermal matrix followed by permanent breast implant placement (silicone breast implant). A right breast reduction and mastopexy (breast lift) was performed for balance. Nipple reconstruction with local flaps, autologous fat transfer, and areolar tattoo were later performed to complete the breast reconstruction.
